Meredith Porter

Meredith Porter started taking riding lessons at the Riding School at JREC when she was 6 years old. When she was finally lucky enough to have her own horse she moved to the Boarding Barn at JREC and competed in the Hunter/Jumper circuit until she went away to college. Meredith was on the riding team at the University of Vermont where she studied Ecological Agriculture and Sustainable Landscape Horticulture. She currently enjoys trail riding with her Quarter Horse gelding named Petey, teaching horseback riding lessons, and being outside. Meredith especially loves working with younger beginner to intermediate students and helping them achieve their goals in horseback riding and horsemanship.

Olivia Croxton

Olivia Croxton fell in love with horses at the age of 14 years old. She began taking lessons once a week at the riding school and that developed into purchasing her first horse at the age of 18. She competed in Hunter/ Jumpers in the local circuit with her horse Hometown Hero until he was retired. They still enjoy trail rides on the farm. Olivia majored in Equine Management at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College and is a former  Equine Specialist at Southern States where she worked for over 7 years. She enjoys working her own horse farm, and spending time with her husband Daniel and 2 dogs, Ruby and Daisy. Daniel and Olivia are expecting their first child in June!
